My job experience that nobody knows about

Nov 28, 2020 13:07

It is tempting to make a CV or resume to look like a smooth, coherent story. And this is understandable - people who look at the resume expect to get some clear idea about the applicant, not the fuzzy art in style of David Lynch.

Unfortunately, this clear story is sometimes missing interesting and important facts, that are just not directly connected to the final idea of a resume. For example, here are my job experiences that almost nobody knows about:

- Construction worker
- Storage worker
- Plank loader
- Courier for documents
- Private tutor
- Summer school teacher

All of those are jobs I actually got paid for. At some I stayed for just a couple of days, the others continued for years. But all of them contributed to my work personality.

What is your work experience that you do not mention on your resume, but think affected your career?
