I'm almost scared to post anything in case it jynxs things but, he's actually perked up a lot. He has gradually started eating more, is going down the garden a couple of times a day and has shown an interest in his tennis ball.
I know he's still very ill so I'm not reading too much into it. However it's all a bit less dire.
