Yet again it comes down to a Patriots and Colts match-up. The Patriots don't quite carry the same mystique as they once did. The Colts have beaten them the last two times they have played. At the same time, though, the Patriots went through the Colts in both of their last two Superbowl runs. Both times the games were in New England, the first time was in the AFC Championship game. The Colts and Patriots have equal twelve and four records, but since the Colts beat the Patriots in the regular season they were seeded one slot higher in the playoffs, which means the game will be played in Indianapolis. From all reports the Colts are still healthy on defense. It seems like most of the improvement on defense is due almost solely to one Bob Sanders. Needless to say I am very psyched about the game on Sunday. The NFC Championship game will be the Saints visiting the Bears, before the Colts/Patriots game. I am leaning towards a Sanints/Colts Superbowl, but the Bears could be tough to beat in that frigid Chicago weather for the Southern Saints. The Bears though apparently don't have a great home playoff record, so who knows.
You know, I have to say again that there is nothing like the Democrats being in power to make me lean toward the Republican, and vice versa. Is it just that both parties seem equally inept at actual governance to me? I think though that the real problem isn't just that I end up supporting the opposition, it is that my Libertarian proclivities mean that my hackles rise when either party wants to tell me how to live my life. It appears to me that both parties exist just to get members elected, the purpose for which they are elected is secondary. It's all about getting face time on TV to grandstand.
I'm Batman. Actually, it does look more like Master Chief. But it probably is just of junk gathered together to look impressive and futuristic. The sci-fi nerd's conception of what battle armor ought to look like.
