Carolyne and I went to work yesterday and today, and worked our bums off, helping to get everybody caught up with their work. We switched to some new billing systems, and no one seems to know what they're doing, but we all managed to figure it out and get it done, and should do well with it when the chaos settles :)
On Wednesday night, my Dad came over and watched The Ref with us. It is such a huge step to even get him to watch a movie anymore, so I was really, really happy that he did! He LOVED it too, lol! I knew that he would :) ... "You know what I'm going to get you for Xmas next year, Mother? A big wooden cross... So everytime that you feel unappreciated for all of your sacrifices, you can climb on up there and nail yourself to it!" LMAO!
During our lunch break yesterday, Carolyne and I drove to visit my Grandmother's grave in Alexandria. It is an absolutely magical and beautiful place, but I did not realize going there would hit me as hard as it did. I have been mourning this Woman ever since I was a little girl, and I really thought that most of my grieving was over. Seeing that headstone though... Really hit me like a ton of bricks, and I just started crying all over again. I am really glad I went though, and needed to do it. I had just moved to Florida when she passed away, and I never got to say goodbye to her. My Grandfather and my Aunt Kiki planted some beautiful plants and trees, and her grave is something they should really be proud of. Next time I go back to visit her, I will bring her something too.
Carolyne is Fostering 2 Dogs temporarily. The Male is going to another Foster home today, and she will continue to foster the Female until she is Adopted out. At any rate, they are both absolutely PETRIFIED of the car, and on the way to and from the Cemetary (which is only about 15 minutes from where I work), the Male threw up 3 separate times. :\ The third time, he threw up all over the Female's butt, lol. Poor little things!
It was tough saying goodbye to everyone all over again when we left work yesterday, but I am supposed to be coming back in January (when it is beyond fucking cold... figures), because my Supervisor is going to be gone. I just don't have the exact dates that I will be coming up, yet.
Last night, Carolyne and I went through some old boxes of all our Breyer Horses (we had almost 100 of those things, lol). And there are around 10 of them that I'd like to have mailed back to me. It was a lot of fun going through all that stuff, but I definitely felt (and still feel) very nostalgic about it. After that, we just sat around with Ollie and watched Dead Like Me. I may be catching a cold, so I've been pounding the Zicam and Airborne, and so far, it may be working. I have my fingers, toes and kegals crossed! :p
Today I am off, and after Mommy gets home from work (she is only working part of this morning), we are going to spend the day together! YYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!
