Battlestar Galactica
Watched it last night. I'll cut in case of spoilerage.
I liked it. Would have liked it better if it hadn't been called Battlestar Galactica. It was a good minseries, but I felt the BG references kept throwing me out of the plot.
I laughed at the anti-slash message they had going on. How do you stop the Apollo/Starbuck hoyay? You make Starbuck a girl. And everybody and their uncle had a very obvious girlfriend.
Lex's Lionel-owned psychiatrist was the religious leader of the group. And Baltar could easily be Lionel's Less-Than-Magnificent Bastard brother. He had the hair, the cunning, but had periods of cowardice that Lionel would have sneered at.
Overall, I think I would at least try the series if it becomes one.
