[drops the aura from around all but Jay, still holding him stably in her arms, waiting for further instruction as to where to go from there]

[Jason speaks to the admitting nurse, and soon there's a gurney being wheeled over for two nurses to take Jay to his room. Apparently Dr. Hill is with another patient right now but will see to Jay as soon as possible.]

Okay. I guess... we should follow them...

[Max shivers, finding the feeling so weird, and reluctantly drops her hand from holding onto Jay's shirt. Everything in sight is eyed with equal parts suspicion and carefulness. As soon as Jay gets put on the gurney, she's following it and him -- whether or not anyone likes it.]

[Dr. Hill comes into the hallway from the room where she was attending to another patient. She pauses when she spots the nurses placing Jay on the gurney.] I wasn't expecting you to bring him in unconscious.

Ah... unforeseen variables.

It's a short-acting sedative...

I'll need his consent before any testing.

[She looks over to the nurse at the head of the bed.] Take him in the room, take his vitals and let me know when he's awake.

[Ignore the tiny, upset and glaring child following the gurney, Doctor. The tiny glare is in Raptor's direction, yours by default.

(Those are dagger she is glaring. Sharp ones. If you were near enough and she wasn't sure it'd get her kicked out, probably, she'd go after your kneecaps, Raptor.

[when Jay wakes up, it's not nice and slow. There's pain and adrenaline and it's noises he recognizes from the muddled mess of his memories. Fight or flight is his answer, regardless of the last of the sedative in his system.

He rolls off from the gurney, crouches finding a wall- then the migraine catches up with him.] Ngh-fuck fuckfuckfuck-

[Max shoots off her chair and goes to his side, glaring at the nurses as one leaves to get the doctor. What the hell did they do she will kick them so hard

Tiny, soft voice full of fear;]

Jay?

[he has his eyes closed and his hands over them to block off the lights and the pain- but he looks up when he hears you. He looked like death warmed over in the bar, now he looks like death warmed over and drugged.] ...'ax? 'hat are- you doin' here?

[She rushes away for a moment, jumping up and turning the lights off, before coming back towards him. She does not like how Jay looks, it's not good and scares the heck out of her.]

Y'in the hospital. Got drugged.

[She doesn't say Raptor did it. Not going to start shit between them, but definitely going to kick him in the shins. She moves closer to him, hesitantly putting a hand to his arm.]

Y'need to lay down.

Kora and Jason only - a private moment away from the others

[Jason is kind of... curled up in one of the waiting room chairs on Jay's floor. He's holding onto Kora's hand, leaning his head on her shoulder.]

That was... that was really hard to do.

[squeezes his hand and kisses his head lightly]

I know, I'm sorry... We'll... we'll work it out. [sighs softly and shifts the hand he's holding to wrap her arm around his shoulders]

[Jason whimpers when Kora kisses him.]

I'm sorry, too... I'm sorry you had to do that...

[He nuzzles her.] I love you so much.

[squeezes his shoulders slightly and hugs him close, then brushes her fingers lightly though his hair]

Hey, who wouldn't drug their boyfriend's brother and drag him to the hospital for a brain scan? That's what love's all about, right? [smiles softly]

[sitting in a chair just outside of Jay's room, keeping watch, and also listening for escape attempts while Jason and Kon are gathering samples]

[ After a few minutes, the door to Jay's room opens and Max comes walking out quietly, shutting the door softly behind her. She sits against the wall directly beside it, her knees to her chest, waiting. She still looks kind of scared.]

[she's had a few water bottles with her already, just in case, and she rolls one to Max, it's sealed, but doesn't say anything]

[Max lets the bottle hit the wall, watching it. She then carefully picks it up and turns it upside down, checking for puncture marks and the like. Smart child is smart and suspicious. Satisfied it hasn't been messed with she opens it and takes a sip.]
