Bones hadn't planned on still being at the computer terminal when Jim got back, but he'd found the quiet comfortable and he was getting through a lot of his mail and messages, the mundane correspondence he tended to let pile up when he wasn't in the office everyday. Settled into the desk with a tumbler of bourbon and a bowl of salted nuts, he read and responded to his correspondence.
Something
from Jocelyn, nothing he wanted to respond to right now. Pushing it to the trashbin, he continued on, frowning at the mention of
Tina's transfer. Made it seem real now, it was gonna happen. Shit.
Something else he and Jim would have to talk about. But... it made it a little easier, getting back to work business. Might be nice to focus on the ship, the crew, instead of themselves. He was in the middle of some requisitions for missing medical equipement, items that had disappeared during their stay on the planet when he heard the door slide open.
He looked up when
he saw Jim enter their guest quarters. "Have fun?" he asked, knowing that Jim wanted to spend sometime in the water, a place Bones never quite felt comfortable.
