I have made arrangements with the administrators of the Sha'Kwai Medical Institute on Rau-Nol for tours of their new facilities to any member of the medical staff who wishes to see first-hand some of the different techniques and treatments used. While we all know Geoff (drmbenga) has extensive knowledge with Vulcans, I don't think it's a bad idea for more of us to learn as much as we can, and what better opportunity than at their new facility.
A few notes: Vulcans use the term 'Healer' interchangeably with 'Doctor'. Please treat all Healers with the same respect that you would treat your co-workers, if not better.
Healers tend to be even more formal and reserved than other Vulcans you may know - perhaps more than any other Vulcans - due to their extremely strong telepathic powers. Be very cognizant when interacting with them, understanding that they are used to dealing with not only the body but the minds.
Healer Lokar of the Sha'Kwai Medical Institute has graciously agreed to provide tours to anyone who requests additional training or information on Vulcan healing practices. If you are interested, please ask your co-workers and see if more than one person is interested in the same topic, so we don't have them running around like logical chickens with their heads cut off.
