Didn't end up eating that shortbread last night.. maybe some other time ler..
People don't seem to believe me when I say "It's alright.. " maybe it's the tone, or the look on my face when I say it.. lol
sigh.. how not to smirk? =P
I caught "This is it" with a few of my colleagues + prem and wwl.
I'd watch it at least the one time.. you get to imagine how great the show would have been. See the choreography, the special effects, the effort that they put in even if it was merely rehearsal and then there's the great meticulous attention to detail (also known as anal)
I thought a better song to end the whole documentary would have been his song "Gone Too Soon" though it's a little obvious but it is so apt. I'm not a fan but I really do think that this man is an icon. I remember buying his "Dangerous" CD. Singing along to "Heal the world" + all his other songs. He should have done that last show just to have a proper and fitting ending to his career. Let's not talk about his private life. I have no idea what's going on there. But truly his music has reached across generations. Will we ever find another that will come close?
"Like a Comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon"
