Still around, believe it or not. The short version of my absence: summer is insanely busy for me at work, thus no free time to blog and then husband got a new job and had to give back our laptops to his old work. So, I don't have a computer and can only read on my phone. Great to keep caught up with everyone, but nearly impossible to write on.

Let's see....
Babies are fabulous. I am in the midst of planning their first birthday party! We are going to have it on our church playground. The theme is "swings" because they love them. I took a standard invite and with the help of a scrapbooking friend made it super cute, IMHO :)  Of course, now my phone is being obnoxious and I can't upload any photos.

I am also using cardstock to make a pennant banner to hang from the trees. Now I just have to figure out food and the cake. Trying to find food that will make everyone happy is kinda a pain for this group. Luckily, I know whatever we have Chomp and Peanut will love it. They haven't met a food they don't love.

I have hated our kitchen cabinets since we moved in. They were medium oak and just looked dated and cheap. So, I finally did something about it. Took the doors down, sanded, primed and painted them and the frames white. They look great so far--- now I just have to reattach the hardware and rehang the doors. I also added wainscoting/beadboard in a few places and it made the whole kitchen look a thousand times better.

Gave myself a concussion in the process. I decided I couldn't be patient and wait for someone to help me at the paint store, so I tried to get the gallon cans of paint down from too high a shelf myself. Of course, I dropped them-- one exploded behind me. The other gallon beamed me in the head. I didn't think too much of it, when it happened--- I was mainly embarassed. But, the next day, I wasn't able to read anything at work and made an appointment with my doctor. She confirmed my suspicians and told me to "rest and not think" for a few days to recover. I am back to normal, almost. Still a little fuzzy at times, but overall no pain.

Husband's new job is awesome. He gets home every night by 6:30pm and no longer works on weekends. I feel incredibly blessed that he ended up with one job that pays as much as his old jobs put together. I can actually do things in the evening now, without feeling guilty that the babies are with their nanny. Not that I do too much, but it was really nice to be able to go to the local parents of multiples group.
