Tim picked this place because in this old Carnegie building the children's picture-books share space with the young adult readers. It means Cassandra can look at whatever books she wants without much scrutiny. He brings over yet another brightly colored beginner books.

"I can read to you," he then amends. "I mean, if you want. I sometimes do that with Dana when she's cooking."
