Several blocks away from all the fighting, the super-punches and the plasma beams and the lasers and the death rays, a Cyborg Superman descended upon the concrete sidewalk outside the front of the Daily Planet. This is where it all began.
There was a plaque here once, a memorial one.

Although it had time to broadcast momentarily, the device exploded while the Cyborg came straight at Superman with nearly as much power as he could swing.
