A flash of white light.

Nekron stands before a white being, composed of white light, curled up as if asleep -- or afraid.

"Your lie has been revealed, Guardians," Nekron swears... then swings his scythe towards the creature.

As the scythe connects, every being in the universe is hit with a sharp stab of agony.

Heart rate was steady, music flowed through the ear buds making her work harder, faster. She was working up a good sweat now, not much further, almost there

Sayd breathes out with surprise. "No... you have an Indigo ring... and it's not a deputy ring." She looks up at the woman. "You can help save the world."

Her eyes were closed, she calmed her breathing and forced her body to accept that she was not truly seeing or feeling what she thought she was.

But that voice seemed to beg to differ.

"Yes, well, see this isn't really mine. It just sort of showed up. If it's yours I'm happy to give it back and then I'll just head off home."

She was still trying to apply logic here, but coming to the end of it rather quicker than she'd hoped.

"You have been chosen, Sasha Baranova," Sayd explains. "You have great compassion. And you can use that today to save every living being in this universe... and perhaps beyond."

"I..what?"

Ok this all felt real, and it looked real, and...wasn't that the Green Lantern she'd seen on the news and in tabloids before? Oh god, the was real, and she was part of it.

But the woman, blue person, said she could help people. Wasn't that exactly what she'd been thinking before she'd been swept away? This was crazy, what in the world was she thinking? She couldn't possibly-

"I'll do it."

She was shocked by her own words but knew they were right as soon as she said them. the ring, it felt right, the weight was almost familiar already, the power she felt within it and the way it tapped into her was uncanny.

"Ok, what do I do?"

"I don't know yet, but we still need an orange," Hal notes. "Glad you can join us, but it's all for nothing if we don't get someone here who's been one of them."

"How about someone who is one of them?" asks a familiar voice, even as a dozen of his 'pumpkin bombs' orbit around him as he hovers.

Travis spares a glance to Larfleeze. "You can have this back after we save the world. I already have what I want."

"But it's MINE!" Larfleeze screams, lunging for Travis. "You stole it!"

"Later," Ganthet promises. "For now, however, he must use it to save the universe."

Travis grins at Larfleeze. "You're right, of course. I stole it, fair and square. Great way to get stuff... speaking of stuff, you want to let me keep it a little longer... after all the universe is where you keep all your things."

Meanwhile Romy has dropped a peaceful John Stewart on the ground and then slaps his face to get him to wake up and wake up mad. The Red light has little trouble finding him once it is called. As the ring fuses onto his finger a shout of incoherent wrath and frustration can be heard throughout the city.

He knows on some instinctive level that the world is going to use him and the spit him out again when its done with him. He He hates that.
