A flash of white light.
Nekron stands before a white being, composed of white light, curled up as if asleep -- or afraid.
"Your lie has been revealed, Guardians," Nekron swears... then swings his scythe towards the creature.
As the scythe connects, every being in the universe is hit with a sharp stab of agony.

forty-five minutes on an elliptical was a great way to wind down a work out but it always ended with her legs feeling rubbery, as they were now. that light headed sense of clarity of pushing your body past that point of needed to stop and rest.
Sasha Baranova needed that outlet after a day of listening to clients who had more money than real problems. She loved her work but sometimes hated her job, was it wrong to want to honestly help people? rich guys in thousand dollar suits didn't need her to comfort them and help them find their way out of depression. They just wanted to vent about the golf scores and who got the better corner office and why their trophy wife gained four pounds before their trip to Maui.
It was hard to listen to their stories sometimes, sure they deserves respect and help as much as anyone but there were others out there who needed it more. She had a mind to quit the associates team she worked with and go into private practice. she'd go broke in a year but she'd be really doing something, honestly helping for a change.
Those thoughts buzzed through her head most of the time, but now, when she hit that blissful cloud of exhaustion they vanished like a soft indigo haze that settled over her..
"What?!?"
Sasha blinked wildly as a blue glow started at her hand and a ring that had made it's way there, and worked it's way up and around her. "Ohmygod!" She back peddled and fell backwards off the machine, but never hit the floor. Her body was eased upward and aloft.
She felt pulled by something, some unseen force up and away from her small but nicely furnished apartment. Pulled along to Coast City, not that she knew where she was, until she was dumped off to fall to her shaky knees, ready to throw up. Around her were others looking like they were dressed for Halloween.
Sasha pulled herself to her feet, warding them all back with a water bottle and small white hand towel. "Ok...obviously this is a figment of my imagination brought on by dehydration. I'm simply delusional and if I calm down and breath and focus you will all be gone."
So says the woman in yoga pants and an oversized Met-U sweatshirt.

But that voice seemed to beg to differ.
"Yes, well, see this isn't really mine. It just sort of showed up. If it's yours I'm happy to give it back and then I'll just head off home."
She was still trying to apply logic here, but coming to the end of it rather quicker than she'd hoped.

Ok this all felt real, and it looked real, and...wasn't that the Green Lantern she'd seen on the news and in tabloids before? Oh god, the was real, and she was part of it.
But the woman, blue person, said she could help people. Wasn't that exactly what she'd been thinking before she'd been swept away? This was crazy, what in the world was she thinking? She couldn't possibly-
"I'll do it."
She was shocked by her own words but knew they were right as soon as she said them. the ring, it felt right, the weight was almost familiar already, the power she felt within it and the way it tapped into her was uncanny.
"Ok, what do I do?"

Travis spares a glance to Larfleeze. "You can have this back after we save the world. I already have what I want."
