There is little light here in the Batcave. The monitors of the massive computer, were they on, would shed some glow on the Batman, but the cave for the moment fits his shadowed mood. The only major source of light is cast from the hallway which leads back up towards Wayne Manor.
Two individuals step into the doorway from the hall, their bodies silhouettes against the light. A man and a woman stand there, watching Bruce in the darkness.
Alfred and Kathy, perhaps?
"Bruce...?" a feminine voice calls... in a voice both alien and deeply familiar.
Instantly, Bruce's attention snaps up and he frowns deeply. The fact that it isn't Kathy puts him on edge - Kathy's silhouette doesn't look quite like that.
He stands and goes towards the stairs, his voice carefully kept from growling as he says "Who is it?"
For a moment, Bruce is filled with horror.. And then rage. He blinks at the figures before him as more emotions flicker through him, ranging from hope to fear. It's the single most harrowing experience he can even bring to mind. "Dad...?" he finds himself saying, unable to trust his eyes and ears.
Eddie lets out a little squeak as he's pulled and pushed. He sends a worried glance at Alfred and turns his attention to running. He's trying to come up with a plan as well.

He follows them up, towards the main house. "You could have stopped him if you wanted to, Alfred. But you didn't. Why?"
