The world was stunned today to learn of the death of two Atlantean heroes. The founding member of the Justice League, Aquaman, and his sidekick, the Titan Tempest, formerly known as Aqualad, were both killed in a political uprising in the city of Atlantis. Details are sketchy at this time, but it appears that they were executed in a gladiatorial arena following their capture by the forces that had exiled both heroes.

Aquaman's body was not recovered, but Tempest's has been. A private ceremony is planned.
