Strange thing of the day… I go to eat lunch and the waitress was super friendly. Like super flirty friendly. I don't think anything of it as I'm sure that gets her good tips, right? Then after paying and tipping, she started asking me questions. The last one being "so would you want to come back by here around 7 when I get off and we can go grab a drink somewhere or something?"
uh… what? no! girls don't ask me out. it was a bit awkward as I didn't know what to say. I mean, she sure was cute (uh, really, really cute!) but also easily 10 years my junior. I now understand the situation Becky was looking at during the beach party. I told her I was sorry but couldn't as I had plans, a lie at the time that turned out to be the truth later. Her response was "oh, well, maybe next time then," told me to have a great day and she'd see me later.
I left not really knowing what to make of it all but… left with a smile, filing that experience away under "things to make me feel good about myself."
