“We’ll revive the classics.” Jaejoong’s rummaging through the pile of clothes on his bed, “James Taylor, Don McLean.” Yoochun settles on the bed, causing some of the clothes to slip. “And the True to Your Heart person?” Yoochun shifts in his position. “Stevie Wonder?” Jaejoong stuff clothes inside his suitcase. “Yeah, he’s the one.”
They hear a car parking nearby. Junsu’s screaming at the top of his voice. They’re traveling for the first time in a long time. “How about Earth, Wind and Fire, hyung?” Jaejoong’s lips quiver. “Maybe some other time.” Yoochun chuckles. “Dong Bang Shin Ki, then?” Yunho’s calling out their name, tells them to hurry up. Yoochun hears Changmin somewhere in the background. “We’ll never know.”
The engine roaring to life sounds a lot like pop music, and five voices singing one song fits the tune so well. At the beginning, they sound like squeaky eighteen year olds, maybe even younger. Yoochun’s driving, Yunho’s doing a little dance, Changmin’s taking pictures of Korea because he hasn’t been home in so long. Junsu’s talking about how much he hates airplanes. “Let’s form a band?” Jaejoong smiles a little. Yunho hits the horn. “Why, aren’t we?”
Alas, they are.
