Once she'd rounded up her sneaky and energetic children, D made sure they were all washed, feed and tucked comfortably in bed before doing the same for herself.
Then she cleaned up her rooms as quietly as she could.
As she went, there was an occasional murmuring, this one talking in her sleep, that one wanting a drink of water, another huffing as she changed positions and so on, and the thought struck that she was getting used to this.
That stopped her in her tracks. She started moving again, quickly, as Charlie started trying to squirm down from the bottom bunk because she needed to use the bathroom, but D knew she'd revisit the thought later.
All six cats children soundly asleep, room re-organized, and doors locked tight, D lay back down on her floor pallet and slept deeply. So much so that she didn't notice when the extra night noises of the past seventy-two hours faded away, one by one.
[ooc: And so the wee cylons have left the island in handwavy fashion and I stop spamming your flists for the night.]
