Baron Ransack von Joy

As I said in my post on Dirt Boss, the Scout class in the RotF line seems to be where Hasbro are going crazy with new alt modes.

That was part of the appeal of Ransack for me. He is basically the only toy from the RotF line that I was excited about, and this was mainly because he was a freaking awesome biplane.

According to his bio, when flight was a new ability on Cybertron, Ransack was one of the flying aces. Nowadays, he's outdated. So it's kind of fitting that he transforms into a WWI-era biplane (an Albatross D.III). He's got Decepticon insignias on his wings, in a way that's reminiscent of wing insignias on normal planes from that time. The colours here are mainly brown, gold, and deep red, which work really well together. In terms of weaponry, he has twin guns on one wing and two small bombs on the other. Also, his propellor spins very well.

His robot mode looks like a biplane cosplaying as a Terminator. The wing-cape thing is very cool. His legs are asymmeterical, being formed out of two halves of the fuselage. I transformed him wrong when I was taking most of the photos-his plane tail fin should be on the right leg, not the left, as I found out just after I finished up. So he's incorrectly transformed for most other pictures here.

Ransack has a 'attack mode' which is the propellor pointing forwards and the wings mounted upwards. It looks pretty cool.

He's taller than Dirt Boss (note: I don't count the tall kibble-bits on his shoulders; it's head height), at around 10cm tall.

Overall, he is great and well worth picking up.
