Author Note: While I was out and about today, I came across something that made me tingle… I picked up the Fantastick Four 1602 sequel trade. And while reading it, my prompt table firmly in the back of my mind, ideas swarmed my poor little brain. LOL That being said, this one is based on events in that sequel, so… yeah. Enjoy. :D
The dreams won’t stop. No amount of commiserating, ignoring, hell even the drinking won’t stop me from hearing her voice.
Help me… gods above… Please… John…
Nothing helps. Nothing. I can’t forget how, in a moment she had me, as I had her. Reed said something once about other fish in the sea. I could have sliced him in half and not felt a thing in that moment, but for my dear sister. Her power has saved him, and the rest of us, surely, more times than I can count. Even she can’t help me now.
So I sit, usually with a bottle of brandy at my side, and I wait for the dreams to take me. I wait to see her again, hair shining, a laugh on her lips. So beautiful. Asking me if I live up to my name. Every man in her city would want her, and she was mine, for a moment.
John… Help me, please…
