I finished episode four of Batman today. It was mostly about Penguin and Two-Face making things difficult for Batman while he's doped up. How long was that drug supposed to last anyway? This one is called The Guardian of Gotham, which is what Harvey Dent refers to himself as. The pretentious prick. Again this time I didn't have my choices saved, well at least not from chapter three, so this time Harvey's face is actually mangled unlike last time.
So, where we last left off, Bruce attacked Cobblepot, while under the influence of drugs, and Harvey sent him to Arkham Asylum. Nice "friend." After being beat up by some thugs, we meet some green haired psycho named John Doe (I wonder who that could be? ;)) who offers to help us escape and he has a tip for where Vicki Vale is keeping the stash of drugs. If that makes Bruce sound like an addict, he's really not. Context is everything lol. It's Alfred who actually gets us out though. Good old Alfred. Back at the batcave, Bruce plans to follow up on John Doe's tip and travel to the Vale house. What he finds there is not a pretty sight. Vicki Vale killed her own family to store the drugs in their company's warehouse? I think I've got that right. We do find one survivor, a young boy, whom gives a hint that the GCPD may be attacked next. Next thing you know, Penguin is attacking Bruce with his own drone. He's completely taking over Wayne Tech. We tell Fox about it and he doesn't know how Penguin is hacking the tech. Why do I feel suspicious of Fox? He would be the first person I would suspect that would give Penguin the ability to hack the technology. I hope I'm wrong about that because that would be quite a twist, but I wouldn't be surprised either to see Fox make a heel-face-turn.
Next I confront Harvey as Bruce. In retrospect, I probably should have gone as Batman because I was defenseless. Harvey takes it upon himself to blow up the drugs and any civilians and police officers caught up in the blast, but what's a few innocent lives to Harvey? He's full on Two-Face now, his only motive is to stay on top. He orders a couple of cops who have been brainwashed to his cause to kill me. I suspect if I was playing as Batman here, it would have been a quick brawl. Instead, Gordon comes to the rescue.
Then Harvey wants to take over Wayne Manor, but there's also the risk that Penguin will have completely hacked the bat-puter if I don't stop him. I go to the manor because...Alfred, and well ... Alfred can actually take care of himself it would seem. More fighting ensues and Bats burns the rest of the left side of Harvey's body so it can match his face. I don't think I've seen that done before with this character lol. Now, I've only thought of this since I started writing this post. You can choose to have Harvey be sent to prison or Arkham Asylum. I went with the latter, and wondered if that was a good choice. However, now since I started writing this post, I think it's perfectly fitting seeing as Harvey sent Bruce to Arkham, so in your face, Two-Face! (Unintended rhyme/pun). Right back at ya! I'm just returning the favor. Unfortunately, because I was dealing with Two-Face, the bat-puter becomes completely infiltrated, leaving Bruce no choice but to shut it down completely, and the episode ends there.
TBH, I think Batman can do pretty well on his own without Wayne Tech, minus the lost communication links he now has with Alfred and Fox. Decent episode, but lacking in Selina Kyle. Text messages don't count. BTW, I straight up lied to Harvey and told him nothing happened between Bruce and Selina lol. Here's a screenshot. I don't know what to make of this Joker John Doe to be honest, but here he is.
I'll be going back to my Hidden Object Game now, and after that who knows?
