So for Easter Sunday Grammy invited us and Kourtnei and my brother over for breakfast, which she cooked. We had scrambled eggs with cream cheese (because that's the best way), bacon and my mom had made some homemade banana nut bread too. I helped a little with the mashing of the bananas. We had orange juice also. My parents actually went to play tennis at the park first before breakfast and I was to stay with Grammy. The food was all good.
Then Grammy had each of us hunt for these chocolate Cadbury caramel eggs, which she hid, not very well I might add. Each of us would get one. I don't care for Cadbury, so I let the others have it.
Then we spent quite a while talking. Kourtnei was on her phone on again *rolls eyes* looking at houses, her dream house, which she'll probably never afford. She, my brother, and my mom were all on the couch talking about the house. Grammy and I were sitting at the table and my dad in the armchair, just kind of listening to them talk and occasionally breaking into a conversation of our own.
Then Kourtnei and my brother left and Grammy wanted to show us this other condo complex where they are redoing the balcony coverings. It's all stuccoed now, but eventually that's going to be taken all down and replaced with I guess you could say it looks like a wooden gate or fence, but I'm not sure it's wood. They're doing that to Grammy's condo complex later this month. It looked nice.
Later when we went back to Grammy's place I wanted to show my mom our next vacation destination on the internet. I found out about this place from watching waterslide videos on youtube. Yes, I enjoy watching them :P It's the Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia.
http://cbayresort.com/ It looks so nice, but also very expensive. I was thinking about it for my parent's anniversary next year, which is a big one. She thought I was looking at it for this year because their anniversary is this month. Don't think so lol. That's more of a dream place anyway, but it got my mom searching for other all inclusive resorts on Trip Advisor. So we spent quite a while looking at different resorts. Then we ended up looking at hotels in San Francisco, since we want to go there this year, possibly in September, but that's not set in stone. I want to go since I've never been up to Northern California.
Of course my mom was also talking about going to San Diego again for their anniversary this month. Don't know if that includes me or not. I know it's not usual for a parent's child to join them on their anniversary getaway, but we've done that before and they usually don't mind. I understand if they want their alone time though, as long as it's a small trip like that. Something like a tropical vacation would get me jealous :P
Anyway, so we spent a long time doing that and Grammy was supposed to be going out to dinner with Aunt Jennie and Derek and his family. Jennie was going to come over at a quarter to three to pick her up, but she showed up at 2:15 while we were still there, so we talked to her for a little while. She's been alone since Uncle Doug was away on a trip to Mexico. My parents suggested they take her out for sushi sometime and she liked the idea. Usually I don't come along since I don't like sushi, but I was invited this time since the restaurant will have other food too. So, that's down in Huntington Beach and we're supposed to do that Saturday. Should be nice.
Yeah, so that was Easter. It's really always been a secular holiday for us with little meaning (at least since my brother and I grew up), nice, but a long day. We spent more time at Grammy's house than I thought we would.
