Some Updates This Week

We went to Disneyland on Tuesday. The first trip of 2014. We ended up walking to the park vs taking the tram that time because there seemed to be only one side running and we figured it would be quicker to walk. We also did that on the way back too, which was exhausting. No idea why they only had one side going. It wasn't very crowded at all except for some areas in Disneyland, mainly Fantasyland. A couple of things went wrong when we were there. The first was Radiator Springs Racers broke down while I was on it, but at least it was right at the end just before they load people into the cars. We were waiting a while though before the ride got going again. Then later we went to Indiana Jones and got a fastpass for it. We got up to the point where they were loading people on until a cast member says they were going to run all the cars through without people to test them. So, ok we'll just wait a little longer and we can get on when the test is over right? Nope. Once they finished the test, they were like "Nope, you have to get out of line." They did give us an attraction pass to ride later, which works like a fastpass, but still...what a waste of time. I was already exhausted from standing around and the heat. Yes, the heat. It really hasn't felt like winter at all. It's been more like summer and we're already having problems with fires. Fucked up weather. So yeah, it was tiring. We did a fair amount of rides including Autopia. We hadn't done that in a while. That was tiring too (pun unintended). I also wanted to hang out more in the animation building in DCA to watch the art on the TV screens. It makes me feel inspired and happy, but my mom didn't want to stick around much longer. She had to get home to clean because DirecTV guy was coming to replace our boxes the next day. Bummer :/ But still, it was exhausting, like I said, so I couldn't protest too much. Hopefully our next trip will be cooler, but I'm beginning to doubt Winter will ever come.

Ahem, in other news, I went to the eye doctor and dentist yesterday. I had no change in my vision since four years ago. I can't believe it's been that long since I had my eyes checked. I wasn't going to get new glasses until it was recommended I do because the plastic on my frames might wear out. So I'm getting a spare pair of Clark Kent-like glasses in case that happens.

I also went for a dental cleaning too. Nothing like stressing me out with multiple appointments in one day. Thanks a lot to my mom >_>. Everything was a-ok though. No cavities this time. Phew. Because I was freaking stressing about that after it happened to me two years in a row. Let it stay that way.

But it's not all roses however. I got something new to freak out about lol. Yes. When I went to go floss last night, part of my permanent retainer became detached on one side. I've had that piece of wire attached to my teeth for over ten years, and just now it decides to come unglued. I can only assume maybe it got loosened when my teeth were being cleaned? When she flossed under there? It's either them or me that did something...Unfortunately my mom couldn't get a hold of the dentist or orthodontist today, which means nothing can be done until at least Monday if I'm lucky. So, I've got this wire sticking up in my mouth, it's uncomfortable, it's trickier to eat. My teeth might start moving around, and there's nothing I can do about it. I hate this. I hope it can be fixed soon. I'm not sure what they're going to do: replace the bonding agent, replace the whole wire, remove it completely, or give me a regular retainer. I guess I'll find out...

One more update: I started writing a new story. Horrah! It's going pretty well so far, and as long as I just let my imagination go, I can carry the story on. I have no idea if this will be a short story, novelette or more. I write as long as it takes for the story to unfold.
