So I finished the first episode of Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse a couple of days ago. It's really good so far, and plays almost exactly like the first two games in the series. It's a great throwback to the classic era of adventure gaming. I loved that Rolf Saxon voiced George again. I wasn't sure he was going to. He's voiced him in every game. Nico has a different voice actress, but it doesn't matter because she has a different one in every game, but they made a good choice this time. I also like that you can show everyone your inventory items just like in the first two games. That leads to some humorous comments, which you'll see in my gameplay video. The graphics are very nice. At first glance they look like the Runaway games, but it's only a small resemblance and the design is better than that. The backgrounds have that beautiful hand painted look to them. So, basically you have 2.5D characters in a 3D world. The only difference between the older games in the series and this new one is that there's an inbuilt hint system, which proves useful as I got stuck a few times. Overall the game is pretty easy, but there were some inventive puzzles, which were good. Time will tell whether I think it's as good as the first and second one. I will say there's some issues with pacing in this episode. It lacked the epic nature that I'm used to, but I think that's beginning to change and hopefully it will become more adventurous in the 2nd episode. The story is starting to get more interesting.
The next episode and I'm assuming the last, is supposed to come out sometime this month. The first episode was pretty long compared to most episodic games I've played. I would say it's almost like a full game. That's why I think there's only going to be two episodes. Here's my gameplay video. I had a lot fun making this one. It's a compilation of clips of George showing off his pet cockroach to everyone lol

Now, I was going to play Syberia II next, but I couldn't get it to install/run properly on my computer no matter how much I tried, so unfortunately that's out. It's weird too considering the first game ran perfectly well. I don't get it.
So, instead I'm going to start Beyond Two Souls, on the PS3. Fortunately, my dad is going away on a business trip today, so the PS3 will be free for me to use. If I don't finish before he comes back though (which is probably likely) I guess I'll just have a HOG on the go to play on my computer when I can't use the PS3.
After that I'll probably be getting back into Broken Sword 5, but if not, I'll mention here what I decide to play next.
