Cashing an Old Check
Monday I got an email from that guy I did data entry for last December. He said he was checking his balance and noticed my check hadn't cleared and wondered if I still had the check. Uh...yes I did. I just never cashed it. Oops. It's not like I forgot either. I just never did it. Why? Don't ask. I just figured I could hold on to the check however long I want and cash it whenever. The check was now 7 months old. I wasn't so sure there might not be a time limit for cashing it. Commence my mom slightly freaking out when I told her. She thought we had already cashed it. Um nope. So anyway we went to the bank yesterday and I was able to cash it in. They probably didn't look at the date or it didn't matter. So, everything's all good. I hope I didn't cause too much confusion for the guy due to my odd money habits and lack of caring about the stuff in general. Yeah...er I probably shouldn't do that.
