New Anime
Started watching a new anime (well new to me anyway) yesterday. I haven't watched an anime in a really long time. Maybe 3 or 4 years. So, it's kinda fun to try something new again. This one is called Angel Beats!. It's kinda like The Matrix in the afterlife...or something. It's all right so far.
And speaking of anime, today I saw the latest Studio Ghibli movie, The Secret World of Arrietty. I really liked it. Not directed by Miyazaki this time, but he had a lot of input into it. I understand it's based on the book The Borrowers, which I'm not too familiar with. My mom told me she read it a long time ago though and from what she remembers it seems like they stuck to the story. I don't think I watched a Studio Ghibli in the theater since Spirited Away. Somehow I missed Howl's Moving Castle and Ponyo. It's nice to be able to watch these films on the big screen and fall in love with the beauty of the animation all over again.
