More Wasting Time In Morrowind

Things are not looking good in North Korea right now. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090614/ap_on_re_as/as_koreas_nuclear

I wasted a bunch of time in Morrowind. I was doing the quests for House Hlaalu and eventually no one was advancing me anymore. I worked on my stronghold, still none of the people who usually would advance me wouldn't. I did all the quests that were available so that wasn't the problem. So I basically wasted two hours trying to figure out why no one would advance my rank. I ended up having to use a code to raise my rank. Then I could do more quests. Now I'm working on the House Redoran quests. I know you can't join more than one house at a time, which is why I loaded an early save before doing the House quests. In that way, I can do them all. :)

I went out to lunch with my dad yesterday. I still feel awkward when we're alone together. Neither of us says much. I think my dad is also an INTJ too so we are probably too similar to feel comfortable around each other. If that makes any sense. Basically all we talked about was June gloom and he explained to me it's caused by the inversion layer. Well, you'd think we'd have more to say because we're both science minded, but I don't know.

I had to set Curse of the Mistwraith aside because it's getting too slow for me, not that it isn't good. So now I've started up Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. I think I already like the magic system even better than I did with the Mistborn trilogy. Of course I haven't read much yet (only the prologue) so I can't make a judgment call yet.

I think that's what I like about Sanderson's books though. The magic systems are guaranteed to be unique. With Elantris you had a sort of rune magic, with Mistborn you had metal magic, and now with Warbreaker you have color magic. Of course they're all well thought out and had consequences good and bad to the user.
