Books and Morrowind
So, the swine flu is at the pandemic level now. I know this is horrible to say, but I have to admit this is kind of exciting. :P
We met up with Donna for lunch on Wednesday and then went to Best Buy and Borders. I got Sherlock Holmes Vs. Jack the Ripper and Warbreaker like I said I would, but I also got Bellwether by Connie Willis. It's about a sociologist studying fads. Then she tests the fads out on sheep or something. It's supposed to be science fiction and it's supposed to be funny.
Then my mom wanted to get something with romance in it, but she was looking at the fantasy books. Actually it was kind of annoying because she wouldn't say exactly what she wanted. I showed her some paranormal romance books, but she kept looking at them and putting them back. I guess she wanted something not suspenseful or violent, and had a lot of sex and no story apparently. I said you might as well read porn. She ended up getting some random romance novel. Blah. :S
Then Joan called and asked if we wanted to go walking again. She must be having a lot of time off work right now. So we went walking around Santa Margarita Lake again, went into Starbucks and got drinks and Joan and I talked about how much Vista sucks. :P
I finished Monkey Island 2: Lechuck's Revenge. I still hate the ending of that game. Way too much like Star Wars. But if I ignore the ending, it's still a fun game.
Now I'm back to Morrowind. I did the Imperial Cult and Imperial Legion quests. Now I'm working on the House quests. I also set my strength to a really high level on the console. So now I can carry a lot of weight and run as fast as if I was on a bunch of bottles of skooma. :P I also set super jump to 50 and now I can "leap tall buildings in a single bound!" :P Fun stuff to mess around with.
