It was one of those days that are just shit at all angles. Megan was being a butthead. We didn't get out until 11:30 when it was so slow that we could have been able to get out at 10:30. Only, Gwen and I had to make up for Megan doing NOTHING. She took a longer lunch than she should have and she was in the back on her phone a lot of the time. It pisses me off because nobody does anything about it. I've told Kris, IDK what else to do and I never see Miguel. I understand being burned out, I was a few weeks ago, but she's total bitch to everyone as well. There is no excuse for it. I do feel sorta bad because she's been nice to me for some reason, but it's not like I forget how she was and it's not like I don't see how she treats everyone else.
Besides that, this woman came in and tried to scam us. She went through the drive thru and asked to speak to the manager. Megan didn't have a headset on, but I asked her to wait a moment as I had other cars to take care of. Megan said to tell her to just come to the window. I did, but she said she wanted to tell me what happened first. I told her ok, but I wasn't the manager. She said that her husband had come in earlier in the day and first off, we always get her drink wrong, but today not only was the drink wrong, but there was a hair in it as well. We immediately knew something was up. We are very aware that Starbucks is very good, very addicting, and very expensive. People come in trying to get free stuff all the time. First, why didn't her husband come back right away? Why didn't he call? Where is her receipt? Where is the drink now? All these things are what normal people do. Then, there's the fact that we rarely mess of a drink and if we do, the chances of us repeatedly messing up a drink for the same costumer is ironic. Then there is the fact, why the hell does she keep coming back? Megan gave her what she wanted because what else are we supposed to do? The icing on the cake was when we saw her stop someone pulling into the parking lot and talk to them. The guy turned out to be Matt's (he works at starbucks) stepfather. He said that the she asked him for $60 because she needed to pay her rent or her and her family would be on the street. Can you believe that???!! Luckily, he isn't stupid, but is anyone? I mean, she's driving a car and leaving Starbucks... How can some people live with themselves? I understand that some people are desperate, but scamming Starbucks isn't a neccesity!!
