Alright, I’ve done it. I’ve downloaded Twilight (I’m not going to PAY for this shit, are you kidding me?). It’s sitting on my hard drive right now, mocking me. Meanwhile, my hard drive is begging me to DELETE, DELETE, WIPE THIS STAIN AND MAKE ME PURE AGAIN OH PLEASE JESUS. Soon enough, my sweet, soon enough.

I actually think RPattz was deliberately acting bad in Twilight; of course the only other movie I've seen him in is Harry Potter, but he seemed okay in that. I've read about his interpretations of Edward and how SMeyer was trying to convince him that Edward was awesome and he was all, "No, he's a weird freak" or something like that, so I figured he was trying to get that across in the film. Or maybe he thought if he sucked they wouldn't make him do the next films. ;)
The scene where he smells Bella in the classroom is hilarious, totally looks like he's throwing up in his hand.
I live in Toronto. There are two and a half million people here. Someone from a small town, please enlighten me: would you give a shit?
I actually just moved from Toronto, but I used to live in Belleville, pop. 38 000, so...smaller. Whenever we had a new kid in school, there was mild interest but nowhere near the attention Bella was paid. The only new kid who really stands out in my mind is this American who joined our class during middle school; he spent all of Phys Ed. standing off to the side staring at us as we ran laps.
One of my pet peeves with the books was Bella's spontaneous popularity and her rejection of all the seemingly nice people who were lining up to be her friend. Considering she spent much of the first chapter wangsting about how she wouldn't make any friends, she sure seemed unappreciative when she got some without even trying.
Anyhoo, off to read the next part!
