I was in a panic because I overslept 15 minutes. It was a quarter to 8, and I wanted to log on at 8:30, and I needed to take a shower and get dressed. I was waiting for the hot water to kick in for my shower, when I remembered the time change. I needed to log on at 9:30 local time. So I calmed down.

The plumbers came back, opened up the floor, and replaced the pipe. Then they put in concrete around it. I need to wait a day to let it set, but I should be able to do laundry tomorrow night. Yay.

Huh. I was reading susandennis' post that mentioned a Mini Cooper, and Mini also makes a small SUV with all wheel drive that is very similar to the Kia Soul, only cooler-looking. The problem would be service. The only dealerships in Illinois are in Chicago. I really like it though. Though a Subaru Crosstek is also similar and is cheaper and has local service ( Read more... )

I got into bed and turned off the light. Suddenly I heard a CRASH! I got up and went into the kitchen and some of my spices were down on the floor. I looked at the top of the refrigerator, and there's Zara. Sigh. I retrieved the spices and went back to bed. This morning, she was on top of the cabinets. My mountain climber.
