Kitty Drama during my conference call: Zara jumped up on the windowsill in the kitchen. Mimi didn't like that one bit, and was thinking about jumping on the freezer to get to Zara. I was chasing Mimi around--still on the phone. Sheesh.

I don't get it. Some Web sites say that if you want to snowbird, stay in a country that's cheaper than the US

I find Mexico to be a lot cheaper. I can get my hair cut for 30 pesos, a good meal for 40 pesos, and you can find apartments for 3500 pesos for month. The trick is to stay out of the tourist zones.

Wow, that is cheap. I think that the condo listings that I looked at were being marketed to "rich" foreigners, so maybe there are cheaper places available.
