New Year's Day

Woke up at 9 AM. I’m feeling groggy. Did the breakfast routine and now I’m lying down for a nap with Mimi on my hip. Had a nice nap.

I found the perfect gray dresser on Overstock.com. Pricey, but it's solid wood, so it should last a long time. I was trying to save it on Overstock, but I didn't get the email to reset my password, so I'm saving it

Going through the things of someone who has passed is often the toughest, longest part of process. My mom's mother passed and my mom wasn't able to visit the house for almost a year...even as they maintained it. We helped her go through and sort it, but it was surreal walking in and finding everything how it was the week my grandmother died mostlly.

I've been at it since the beginning of the summer. I'm down to a few boxes. It has been a tough, long process, but being here so long has helped me come to terms with the fact that my mom is gone.
