Weight Loss Coach

When I was working on the kitchen table yesterday, I found a letter from the state benefits association saying that I *did* have my flexible spending account selected. So I called them. I spent a long time on the phone, but apparently I clicked the wrong button when I was selecting my benefits, and they said to send an email requesting an appeal, which I will send later. Very nice and helpful people.

Speaking of appeals, someone at Truist picked up my BBB complaint. I hope that it'll get results.

I'm trying to decide whether a "Sash Bag" will work for me. It seems kind of small, but it has lots of pockets. They have a money-back guarantee though. I'd like to be able to put my Kindle in it, and that won't work. No, I think that I found a purse of the right size (not a Sash bag) and it's a crossbody. The question is whether I get a black-and-white one or in crimson. Or blue. They also have a kind of beige one with blue and pink in it. No, they have a larger one that I like in black or "greige" leather. I kind of like the "greige" one (bought it). I'm wondering if I should get a wallet to go with it.

Had a long conversation with my diet coach. She wants me to log everything that I eat with an app for which a link will be sent to me tomorrow. She asked me to commit to some exercise, which will be yoga tomorrow, and walking on the treadmill Thursday and Saturday. (She really liked the idea of me swimming, so I might substitute swimming for one of those sessions.) And we'll meet by phone once a week. She wants me to drink water instead of soda, which will be tough, but I suggested substituting iced tea because I really don't like the taste of water. I'll look into a Brita filter too. Oh, and I told her that I was on a med with a side-effect of weight gain, which she wasn't thrilled about. It's not the whole story of my weight gain, but I gained 50 pounds when I first went on Zyprexa. We wrangled about dessert. She suggested fruit, and I told her that I bought fruit and didn't eat it. But! If I bought some pineapple, that would be delicious. Passion fruit and kiwi would be good too. Oh and mangos! I need to make a trip to the fancy (read: expensive) grocery store. I told her being able to walk easily in Italy was a major motivator for me. Oh! I should get some passion-fruit tea to use as iced tea! And mint tea! Definitely need to get to the store tomorrow.

I either can't nap in the evening (like tonight) or sleep through until morning. It occurred to me that it's pretty obvious that I will be here in a month when the California Zephyr trip will happen, so I need to book flights to and from Chicago (done). Plus I want to print out some pictures of Italy to post in the kitchen to motivate myself to diet. (Done. I have a picture of Florence on the fridge and one of Venice on the microwave.) And I need to grab my yoga clothes. (The yoga pants had been kind of kicked around, so I started a load of laundry.) Oh, and I RSVPed to the book club meeting, so I need to get cracking on the book. Plus work on the kitchen.

I scheduled a brow lamination and brow wax right before my California trip.

Zara found a roll of my mom's socks and was playing with it. Good to see that she still has a little kitten in her :)

Paid rent. I will be very glad when I'm not paying twice for lodging.

I think that I'm going to head towards bed now and read. I'll put the clothes in the dryer in the morning.
