Glutton for Punishment
The handyman is here. He set up a whole workshop outside! Right now, he's working on the upstairs bathroom. The ceiling now looks like a normal ceiling. Yay.
I tried some of Factor's smoothies, and they're pretty good. Expensive though.
The junk guys have come and gone. All the papers are out of the basement. Yay. The guys were thrilled that I gave them a big tip and they all shook my hand.
I told my dad with all the experience I'm getting in managing fixing up a house that maybe I should flip houses or buy a "fixer-upper" for myself. He said that I was a glutton for punishment.
fauxklore mentioned clip-on earrings in her post, and I went "Hmm" and looked at some on eBay. Chico's had some, so I looked on their site and fell in love with a silver pair. I'm not thrilled with the tops that I ordered from Nordstrom Rack, so I've been looking at Chico's clothes on Mercari and will also check out eBay. I'm finding a lot more interesting tops.
Cool. I got my berry-colored "Ciao" shirt to go with my berry-colored jeans. I allow myself to buy only those t-shirts for which I have a connection (that is, no travel shirts to places I haven't been), but my years of Italian count even if I haven't been to Italy yet.
I had intended to take a nap, but it's already after 9PM. I'll do the dishes and start laundry and go to sleep. Just as well because if I get an early start tomorrow, I should be able to drop off a load of Mom's clothes before my meditation "retreat". Though I suppose that I don't need to do laundry if I wear my "Ciao" shirt and the berry-colored jeans.
I found some clips on eBay to use to hang the mat with the cats on it. It's too cute to wipe my feet on, plus I'm taking my mom's metal "Work In Progress" mat with me.
I got my first Wantable box. There's a jacket that I definitely like, and I'll have to see how the rest of the clothes look on me. Their clothes are kind of thin though.
