Barb
Barb is a friend of my mom's from a spiritual group that she and my mom were in called Point of Vision. She and I met last December when my mom got out of the hospital and I came to help. She and I kind of clicked, and she asked my mom for my contact info. Well both of us were busy (she's a college professor at Wayne State), so the first time that I talked to her after that was when she was concerned because my mom was confused. Actually we had a text conversation, which included our academic plans.
Honestly, I'm starting to think that this woman is my soulmate. She might be the only person who understands why I want to get a master's degree in Data Science that I probably will never use because I think that it's cool. She thought that was a good reason. And tonight I learned that she sings. She's a contemporary of me, not my mom.
The kicker? She's a lesbian and I am bi. I'd like to spend more time with her while I'm here and get to know her better.
