I woke up a half-hour before my alarm, so I figured that I had gotten enough sleep. But Mom suggested I lie down for a while after breakfast. I think she was worried that I'd be well-rested for the drive.
I rolled out of town around 1:30 PM. Not too bad. The GPS on my phone wasn't happy with me because I followed a different route, and I kept on telling it to shut up :)
I drove into rain. I drove through my favorite city to drive through (NOT!!), Toledo, in pouring rain. But I've learned to stay in the middle lane there.
Because of the rain and navigation issues, I didn't turn on Sirius XM until I was on I-74, which I consider the home stretch. I rolled in around midnight, only to find that my porch light has burned out. Lots of meowing from the cats.
When I logged on, I found an email from my friend Lance, which was a pleasant surprise. He's been taking care of COVID patients (he's a nurse), and wishes that COVID deniers would visit the ward in his hospital.
Now I need to get my stuff together for tomorrow and crash.
