A Dull and Lazy Day. Thank Goodness.

Mimi woke me up at 9 AM meowing. Sigh. She's now lying on me and happy. She was really stressed about my being gone.

I need to figure out what I need from the grocery store and whether I can wait until tomorrow to go. I think that I can wait until tomorrow. I need to go get the mail though. I'm booting up the Lousy Laptop to pay bills.

Started laundry and paid bills. Ameren had me jumping through hoops to set up a "new and improved" login. I was fine with the old one. I'm squared away with Heartland. I might need to transfer back a little money from savings.

Took another short nap while my clothes were drying. Well, that wasn't a short nap. I woke up at 10:30 PM.

Fed the girls and myself. Wild child Zara bonked me while I was eating, and I got tomato sauce on my pajamas. Thanks, Zara.

I wish-listed the book The Bread Maker's Apprentice, recommended by
bandicoot. I'd like to get into some baking. I'll get the book after my payments to Heartland get sorted.

Showered and threw some clothes on. Ran out to get the mail. My mom would have a cow if she knew that I went out in the cold with wet hair, but I'm not planning on telling her.

I'm fighting with the Lousy Laptop to do meal planning. Before I went to Chicago, I had thought about making chili, but I had so many rich meals there that I have a taste for something lighter. I also ate fried chicken there, so chicken doesn't appeal. That leaves vegetarian and fish. I could thaw some cod and make the delicious cod bites with veggies and mashed potatoes. I have an Italian Wonderpot recipe that I'd like to try. I could make chili for the freezer, however.

Got my shopping list made. I'll just need to throw myself together tomorrow and go to the store.

Autocorrect is being especially annoying right now.

Time to try to sleep.
