Leaf Peeping?

Kitty Drama to start the day. Zara was walking by in the bedroom, and Mimi went after her. I grabbed Mimi, and Zara left. I chewed out Mimi, but I doubt that it penetrated her tiny kitty brain. Sigh.

I have two projects today. The big one is to clean the kitchen. The smaller one is to go get dirt and plant the zucchini seeds.

Mower guy is mowing.

I found an absolutely gorgeous picture of fall leaves off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I'm not posting it because it's not my picture, but here's the link to the article. It would be awesome to live near such beauty. Now I'm thinking that I should spend two days in Knoxville, two days near Gatlinburg hiking or driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, and two days in Chattanooga. Hmm. Gatlinburg is expensive. You can hire guides to do an overnight trip in the Great Smoky Mountains. Something to consider.

Got us all fed. Napped. Had a bite to eat. Felt like I needed another nap, but a shower should fix me up.

Ran out and got the dirt. There wasn't any in the usual spot where it was, but I took a turn around where they sell the outdoor plants and voila! Potting soil! Glad that I don't give up easily. Came home and planted the zucchini seeds. Now I'm cooling off before I put the garbage out for pickup.

Damn, I'm tired. I'm sitting here waiting for Zara to finish her food. Got the garbage out. I'm feeling too tired to make anything elaborate, so I'm going to make grilled cheese and tomato soup. I need to go make the food, but Zara is completely zonked out, and I hate to wake her. Oh good. She's awake now.

Lay down before I made food and woke up at 1:30 AM. Yikes.

Tried on my new pants. They'll do.

Made and ate grilled cheese and tomato soup, junk food of the cooking-at-home set. Now back to bed.
