Cluttered Mess to Organized Success. Well, Some Progress, Anyway.

Sep 14, 2019 23:14

Printed off a bunch of printables from my Cluttered Mess to Organized Success book. I'm going to do some goal setting tomorrow. It also had some editable labels for things that look really nice. I'll use them instead of the label maker in the kitchen. I'll use the label maker for smaller stuff like files.

Woke up at 9 AM. Decided that was too early to get up and went back to sleep. Woke up at 11:30.

Did some dishes that had been soaking from last night's dinner. Threw laundry in the dryer. (I don't want to put up the drying rack until after I clean the kitchen.)

Wrote up a to-do list.

Cut out the new labels and placed them in the kitchen. They look good. Put my hats, scarves, gloves, and umbrellas in the cubes. My black scarf is missing, but I'm sure that it'll turn up.

Tried napping, but couldn't fall asleep. Good.

Rebel rebel: I have a long to-do list, so I started organizing my pantry shelves, which wasn't on the list. It's helping me see what I've got, however.

Have the shakes, so it's lunchtime. Ate.

I want to work on the kitchen, but Zara's lying on my lap.

Operation Coatrack is complete. It looks good. I want to throw out the box that the coat rack came in, but there's some crinkly paper in it that Mimi likes.

I saw an ad on Facebook for an efficiency webinar based on Getting Things Done™. I watched part of it, although I was aware of the irony of not getting things done because I was watching a webinar about Getting Things Done™. It was worthwhile. I was looking for a way to make context-based to-do lists (Home, errands, phone calls, computer, to discuss) and someone recommended Trello.

Talked to Mom. She was feeling a bit cranky, but is doing okay. She's planning on going to Chicago soon, but is waiting for my aunt and uncle's bathroom to be redone. She suggested a different kitchen island/cart, so I'm going to go look at it. She thinks that I need a trip to the Italian Lake District somewhere along the line to decompress.

Hmm. I'm not feeling sleepy, but I'm not feeling like doing more cleaning and organizing. Maybe I should go to bed and get up early though.
