[Joshua] A Belated Entry

testing test test there we go

It's always a pain breaking in a new quill, that first line probably cost me a tenth of a copper piece. I need to try conserving as much these spoils as I can (until I double it with a pair of lucky dice). Which means it's probably a bad idea to start up these entries again, but hey, I need to keep up my literary skills and all that. I'm kind of surprised how uncommon it is for townfolk to be literate! I mean jeebes, you shouldn't have to be royalty for basic education.

Maybe I can start up a tutoring school. Come to Joshua's, master of the Pen and Sword! Among his competition, anyway! Yeah, that would totally be my slogan. Of course my sword arm is almost as rusty as my writing arm (which isn't a surprise, it's the same arm). Tagging along this new mercenary group was a good idea, plenty of gold and amusement. I doubt it will last very long, but hey, might as well cash in as much as I can. It might even kept me fed for a month or two (oh man it's so good eating again).

They're definitely an interesting sort, I remember grumpy old Kriv from those other mercs I briefly worked with. What were they called, Darkwell? Blackwell? Blackbell? Whatever, that wasn't a bad job either, ate for a week. Almost ate for a month, then that damned Marcus caught my hand thinking I was cheating on the dice (which I wasn't that time thank you very much). Reputation is a hell of a thing.

Speaking of reputation, there's that other Dragonborn. Man what a character. I wonder if you can have a reputation of trying too hard to make a reputation for yourself. I don't even know how to spell his name, Bah-John? Bajhon? Dragonborn are weird. At least he keeps the mood fairly light, even if he isn't trying to. Heheh, slay the evildoers! It's like a classic children's book hero, so funny.

Hopefully this business with the mayor or what have you turns into more real work, maybe I can start some actual investments. Shine up my jacket again, find out what in the Abyss this sword does. Master always had a collection of fancy blades, I tried taking the least flashy one, but I'm not convinced it isn't magical. Strange opportune or ill opportune things just seem to happen around me. Or maybe that's Avandra's impact, hm. I'm not sure if Gods are really that direct or not.

Ah blast, I already see the moon taking a fall, I should probably get some shut eye. ... Man, a bed. It's going to take all of my willpower waking up from real slumber for once. Til next time, journal.

kriv, eating for once, adventure!, sweet sweet coin, gambling, d&d aww yea, bajhan, joshua
