I do believe that this is one of the strangest e-mails I have ever
received. You have never been to the Nuart, but you received an e-mail
from your friend who had a bad experience (once?), and you have decided
to never come to the Nuart. You're a film student and have not been to
the Nuart. I can't apologize to you, because you weren't even there.
Really amazing.

Subject: hazing event at Nuart Theater
Recently, I received an email from a good friend that during a
screening of 2001: A Space Odyssey at the Nuart Theater, there was a
group of USC frat members wreaking havoc during the film. The
management was unresponsive even after paying audience members
complained. This is very, very disappointing and my friend will not
to return to the theater, once a regular haunt, because of this show
of disrespect from the staff. I have never been to the Nuart Theater,
but should I have the opportunity to watch a film there, I won't take
it and would advise others to do the same. As filmmakers, my friend
and I cannot express how disappointed we are in the treatment of
audiences who have the option to not attend theaters. Please keep
this incident in mind when you are training your staff and
establishing procedures to deal with situations like these, because
you have just lost many customers from it.
Sincerely,
