businessmen, they drink my wine

...

I am surprisingly un-reactionary to this episode. Which is to say: when I re-watch tomorrow/whenever, I will undoubtably freak the fuck frak out.

UGH. EXCEPT FOR

LAURA ROSLIN COAXED BILL ADAMA OUT OF HIS "OH MY BEST FRIEND IS A CYLON" STUPOR

SO THAT WAS NICE.

(You so knew there was a scene before, where Lee was all, "This isn't going to work," and he just looked at Laura, and she knew what had to be done.)

Also: LAURA ROSLIN WAS TOTES WILLING TO DIE ON THE BASESTAR.

Also: there was hugging, and, well, this can't actually be Earth, right? Because, well, "dying leader" and all that jazz. Except if "dying leader" meant Natalie from the last two episodes... which. Actually. OH MY GOODNESS YOU GUYS. I don't know if I or Laura Roslin could handle her having an Ordinary death. I think I might break down.

I LOVE THEM TO PIECES but oh my god even though Earth is a nuclear wasteland, they still aren't allowed to be happy, right? I mean, this IS Battlestar Galactica. Happiness =/= cannot compute.

UGH, SOMEONE WRITE ME MOM/DAD POST EARTH RGHT NOW.

BECAUSE I'M STARTING TO REACH THE POINT WHERE I CAN'T DEAL.

EARTH.

AS A NUCLEAR DISASTER PLACE.

Either: a) Earth in the future; b) that's not Earth.

(Unrelated: I adore how it's Tigh being a Cylon that breaks Bill Adama into tiny emo pieces, rather than anything Mom related. Because, like, I LOVE MOM/DAD AS HAS BEEN CLEARLY ESTABLISHED - but like Adama said, he's known Tigh for thirty years. And now this. OH MAN. OH MAN OH MAN OH MAN. He made Bill wear his emo robe and EVERYTHING.)

Ugh.

Yeah. I'm sure that whole "OH THEY LANDED ON EARTH AND SIKE! IT'S NUCLEAR WINTER" thing will sink in wholly and fully tomorrow. Like: YEAH.

edit: OH FUCK ME, IT WAS THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T GET THAT BEFORE.

Ugh.

UGH!!!!!!!!

show. SHOW!!?!??!?!!!!!!

Fine. Fine. You win. YOU WIN, ALL RIGHT?

edit: YUP, I TAKE BACK THE AMBIVALENCE. THIS EPISODE WINS AT LIFE.
