So the episode of The X-Files where Scully has terribly retconned flashbacks about asking Mulder to be her babydaddy is on SciFi right now, and I decided to watch it. Because, like, it's either this or Dr. Phil.
BIG MISTAKE. Guys, this is so painfully awkward! SO PAINFUL. I remember watching this five years ago, thinking, "OMG THEY ARE SO AWESOME" even though it was Season 8 and everthing was Terrible By Default, but now... I admit to fandom blasphemy right now by saying that I absolutely hated it and had to change the channel.
MULDER AND SCULLY, HOW DID WE LOSE THE LOVE?
eta: omg! Now they are "sending her away" because "aliens are after her baby" or something. JESUS CHRIST, I used to like this show? I am so embarrassed!
eta 2: AND NOW, omg. And now she's escorting this other Really Pregnant Lady to a "safe" hospital, and the lady comes with the standard, "oh, she thinks she's carrying an alien baby," and the doctors are... only mildly concerned by this. (I know, I know, they're in on the whole thing, but still! You'd think they'd at least put up a mild defense of, "yeah, that woman needs to be on the fifth floor. You know, MENTAL HEALTH." Especially when she's all "I DIDN'T GET TESTED BECAUSE I COULDN'T TRUST MY DOCTORS." I processed intakes at work that sounded a lot like that woman.)
