So I'd write an update blog about my life if there were anything new to report. I'm pretty much living day-in and day-out. The same ol' song and dance, and any other Sinatra song that highlights the fact that nothing changes.
Like many other people who post I am poor, bored, poor, and still going through the motions. The biggest thing I've done to get involved post-college is send in an application to a Twin Cities choir (of which I haven't heard anything back from). I'd like to say that my job is fun and exciting... but it's not. It's comfortable. I know everything I need to know in it. I'd like to be more "important" as in, have some responsibilities to meet deadlines, attend meetings, go to Minneapolis for the morning conference and return to St. Paul to work on the next one. However, I don't know if that is in my future or not. I miss being somewhat scholarly and feel like I'm wasting my brain by not having to think about anything. However, I'm extremely grateful that I have my job... I know a lot of people are still looking.
I'm getting quite in the Christmas mood and am figuring out that KQQL108 plays the same three Christmas songs over and over. Boo that noise. Oh well, it'll do until I dig up my Christmas CDs. This Christmas, I only have three specific people to buy presents for... so that will be nice for my wallet... except they're not cheap, but that's ok :)
I'm becoming fascinated with the show Mad Men lately. I love the set, clothes, and general manner of the show. I've always been a little nostalgic for that time period that I never took part in. I feel I would have done much better back then. The stockings, slips, dresses, hair, make-up... I would have rocked that much better than the 2000s style that can't seem to figure itself out. 1959-1960's actually liked women to have hips... that's a time I fit in!
I honestly wish I had more to say because I'm kind of enjoying typing at the moment... sometimes it's really fun! I tested my typing and I can type 75 wpm. Heck yes!
Anyway... I'm bored, a little lonely, a little sleepy, and thirsty so I think I'll sign off.
