January 2nd, the weather is actually quite warm and I realized that I forgot this: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Now with this out of the way, I can concentrate on the mythos of the New Year’s Eve. Different cultures have different beliefs so to say, but all revert to one thing really, new year, new beginning, new luck, new chances.
In Bulgaria we eat a special salty baked pastry that resembles bread, but it’s far from it. I am sorry but I have no equivalent to compare to, just a picture. So this special meal we use as a mine field for charms. Each charm is written on paper and hidden below the pieces with a small coin in the mix, which is the luckiest charm available. I was present on too many occasions with this bread so I have a variety of charms.
1) “Do not seek for new was to cheat, since you will have too many exams to beat.” [positive my ass]
2) “You will have a trip abroad.” [this is a bit better]
3) “Study, study, study”. [I hate it when the universe starts this hinting]
But of course, due to that blasted TV series “Friends” [every episode made ever has been aired an infinite amount of times] people just HAVE to do Resolutions, even though it’s not an official tradition. And yeah, I did mine too. So here goes.
1) Be stronger… I am not defining how. Whatever comes. [Superman watch out!]
2) Be organized and stay that way goddamn it.
3) Work harder with more determination
4) Think positive and be generally nice to people [That includes giving up on death threats… ;(]
Yeah, in order to predispose 2009 to be nice to me, I have to a model human being. Go figure. But I am curious, what did you wish for in 2009?
PS: This is Melodic Red and as far as my opinion goes, this is one of the most beautiful and stylish photographies I have seen and yet to see. The woman behind the pic and the model too I think is
Zsuzsanna Mészáros otherwise known as the lovable Suzy The Butcher.
