I'm going to have one of my "tornado dreams" tonight...:(
Those who REALLY know me know I have "tornado dreams" as a recurring nightmare. Ever since I was 5. My mom, sister, and I had to seek shelter under my dad's old desk in the basement because there was a storm going through, and the sirens were going off. The roof was partially blown off our house (due to "updrafts", as I found out later in life)...but at the time, I thought it was a tornado. And of course, I'd just seen "The Wizard of Oz" recently, so that's how I made the connection.
Well, right now, there are actual tornadoes hitting to the northwest of me... which doesn't directly AFFECT me, but it's affecting several co-workers of mine! Namely, my 'temporary' co-lead, Kim, and one of my best friends at work, Michelle. So I'm watching channel 5, which has been nothing BUT weather for an hour and a half now.. (yeah, forget scheduled programming).. and I'm just totally praying for them. I was able to get a hold of Michelle after the storm hit her area, so I know she's ok. But Kim, I only spoke to right before the storm hit her area.
So, I'm just praying I hear from her sometime soon!
And of course I'm praying to sleep without a tornado dream...
