the end result...
Well, the car was totalled. I'll never see my 2001 Blue Toyota Corolla again :( Dad and I went up that Wednesday to gather everything from the car, like my CDs and such..and I didn't realize how much crap I had in that car! LOL... I cried, of course.
For the last week and a half, Rocky and I have carpooled to work ...we're lucky that we work within 15 minutes of each other, so basically I drop him off, then continue on to my work...then pick him up afterwards.
There's a bright side: first, my insurance company ended up giving me $1500 more than I owed on the lease, so I used that towards a down payment on the car I got TODAY!! :)
I got a brand-spanking-new Toyota Yaris, which gets 39mpg highway, 34mpg city... VERY nice.... better than my Corolla! And though it may look smaller than the Corolla, length-wise, it's actually a lot more roomy! Rocky actually fits into it nicely! We made sure he test-drove the car to make sure!
It's a sage green color.. very cool :)
It handles well and I'm very happy with it thus far ...
