Underneath a mushroom is a poor sort of shelter. When one is three inches tall, though, one takes what one can get.
"Oh, I do hope it stops raining soon," Alice fretted. Her skirts were quite liberally splashed with mud, and she'd not eaten anything since breakfast. Despite being years older and supposedly wiser, traveling Underland was not any easier for the woman this time than it had been during her previous visit.
"Bloody man had best be worth this," Alice grumbled, but then she already knew the answer to that. She would have never tumbled down the hole for a third and hopefully final time if he was not.
